hat-trick, Tom Cooper and Nathan Smith completed the scoring .Second placed A
C Wigston kept alive their challenge at the top of the Under 18 Premier Division
with a fine 5-1 win at Kegworth Imps. A stuttering first-half performance from
Wigston saw Kegworth take the game to the visitors at every opportunity and shortly
before the break the ball was forced into the Wigston net to give the home side
a half-time advantage. Wigston however came out strongly and played some fine
football, creating chances throughout the second half. Two penalties, each converted
by Dean Wade, put the visitors in front and further goals from the game's star
performer Nathan Keizer (2) and striker Lewis Madelin completed the scoring. Wigston's
midfield, guided superbly by skipper Austin McNulty and the hard-working Sam Shiels
can be proud of their second-half performance, producing the team's best football
of the season so far. Westfield beat their local rivals Hinckley United 4-0 in
an eagerly awaited local derby. A bright start saw Westfield hit the bar in the
first minute, and only a minute later they took the lead with a well taken header
by Tom Wallace. The game then settled down, and another 30 minutes passed, before
Alex Tustain controlled a superb cross field pass, beat the defender and lashed
the ball into the net. The second half was dominated by Westfield, who went further
ahead after a defensive slip up left Stuart Heathcote to tap into an empty net.
The same player made it 4-0 shortly after following some smart build up play.
Player of the match Heathcote had several chances to complete his hat trick, but
was denied every time by some great saves by the Hinckley keeper Lewis Hill. Syston

laid the ball back for Mark Tinsley to smash home, allowing Oadby to equalise.
Oadby took the lead two minutes into the second half when they were awarded a
penalty. Foxes got back on level terms when Mark Tinsley scored from close range
and soon after Harry Forfar headed Foxes into the lead from a Scott Gathercole
corner. Mark Tinsley completed his hat-trick when he beat the offside trap to

inside the penalty area. Quorn Juniors just edged past Glenfield United by the

in division with a 5 - 0 thrashing of bottom of the table Soar Valley goals for
the home team scored by Jamie White (2) , Liam Pallett (2) and Thomas Sloan. Gilmorton
Juniors and Lutterworth Juniors Finished all square after Lutterworth clinched
a last minute equaliser through Jim Czerpak who headed in a scrambled corner.
Twice Gilmorton took the lead first, when Jack Oliver caught the Lutterworth defence
out of position to fire past keeper Mark Lill. Lutterworth fought back just before
half time with the best goal of the game Brad Hughes struck a long range effort
which left the Gilmorton keeper David Monk stranded just off his line, with the
ball dipping under the bar. Gilmorton thought they had claimed the winner with
about six minutes remaining. Substitute Mark Atkins took full advantage of some
weak Lutterworth defending to score Gilmorton's second. But Czerpak evened the
honours in the last minute. Seconds before Anthony Zupp hit the bar for Lutterworth

the Blaby & Whetstone consolation. The other fixture was Countesthorpe against
Royce Rangers; Countesthorpe Athletic continued their recent good form with a
hard earned 2-1 victory over Royce Rangers. Royce enjoyed plenty of first half
possession only to be open up by a swift move which left Aaron Murray to side
foot the home side into a half time lead. Athletic settled more in the second
half with Charles Butler going close twice, but it was the visitors who struck
next when a drilled cross cannoned off a defenders legs past the keeper. But not
to be denied Countesthorpe continued to press, and got their reward when Harry
Warren raced clear and calmly chipped the keeper from an angle to spark joyous
scenes in the home ranks. DIVISION ONE

Lutterworth Juniors and youth. With fluent football Sileby town carved out several
scoring opportunities in the first ten minutes with the Lutterworth keeper pulling
off a couple of fine saves. The Sileby pressure paid off when after 15 minutes
they went 1-0 up, when Tim Carr from just outside the box drilled in a low strike
which caught the Lutterworth keeper by surprise. Sileby continued playing their
passing game and were rewarded when they went 2-0 up when Lewis Maxfield was perfectly
placed inside the penalty area to turn a fine pass from the wing into the Lutterworth
net. Against the run of play Lutterworth where given a penalty, which they converted.
This gave Lutterworth a boost and they started to compete with more desire till
the end of the first half whistle. In the second half Sileby Town stayed true
to their passing game and competed well with the direct play of Lutterworth. The
game was well balanced as both teams went to score the next decisive goal. This
was scored by Sileby Town's Conor Simpson. After another Sileby attack the Lutterworth
defence failed to clear the ball which fell to Simpson, who smashed in a 20 yard
shot which flew into the Lutterworth net. With time running out Tom Needham pulled
off a fine one on one save. The points gained for Sileby Town kept them still
undefeated and competing for top spot. Narborough returned to winning ways against
Wigston Youth after a couple of disappointing results, they took the lead when
Sajan Patel latched onto a through ball and smashed an unstoppable shot into the
roof of the net. Then Jim Freer made a break down the left and fed the ball into
Josh Kirby who laid it back for Sahil Patel to sweep home a crisp low drive. Into
the second half and the home team continued to control the game, a through ball
by Josh Swain was latched onto by Sajan Patel who rounded the keeper and slotted

header two minutes later. Gilmorton piled on the pressure but Friar Lane stood
firm until just on 20 minutes Stephen Bottom scored yet another headed goal from
a cross by Philip Duric. Both teams came out determined, but Gilmorton with no
subs were forced to make a few changes due to injuries, so Stephen moved into
defence and the injured Chris Burke went up front. The scores stayed the same
until with 35 minutes of the second half gone Dan Nwaozuzu did a great run and

DIVISION FOUR Shepshed Village Youth
won their first game of the season after losing there last 4 league games, on
paper this should of been an easy win for Loughborough. But Shepshed knew themselves
they had to step up a gear. As the first half got underway it was much Loughborough
who found the attacking form first and the Shepshed defence doing well to break
down all of Loughborough's attacks. Shepshed finally got in to the game, and made
some good runs down both wings but the Loughborough defence did well to break
down the challenge. Shepshed finally got their reward about 20 minutes in to the
game; with Ashley Tyler bringing some hope back in to the Shepshed side. Loughborough's
Lee Wesley pulled a goal back but the referee ruled the goal offside. As time
passed Shepshed grew in confidence and should have had more goals but the Loughborough
keeper did well to keep them out, to make the half time score Loughborough 0 Shepshed
1. As the second half got underway Shepshed knew that Loughborough where not going
to lie down. But it was Shepshed who attacked first with jack Lavrick and Ashley
Tyler both going close. Ashley Tyler got his second goal of the match half way
in to the second half, as Guy Munford went on a run down the left side, to pass
the ball to Ashley who blasted the ball in to the net to give Shepshed a 2 goal
lead. Loughborough finally got on the score sheet as the referee awarded a penalty
and the Loughborough attacker blasted the ball low and in to the goal. With about
10 minutes to go Loughborough stepped up a gear and did all they could to pull
the game back. But with all the Shepshed players giving 110 % it was Shepshed
that went away with a well earned 3 points. Gaunt Youth came a cropper at Kegworth
