PREMIER
DIVISION In the battle for the title the current leaders lost for the
first time this season going down 3 - 1 away at the much improved Kegworth Imps,
second placed Kingsway kept up the pressure with a 4 - 2 success at lowly Gilmorton
with Jonathan Burrows and Jack Goulden on target for the home team, the mid-table
battle continued when Westfield took on Mowbray Rangers Westfield created a hatful
of chances in a first half that they dominated. It was no surprise when Tom Wallace
burst through to score on 22 minutes. However Mowbray hit back instantly to equalise.
Westfield then took the lead 2 minutes later when new signing Chris Gilmore beat
the offside trap to score his first goal for the club. Alex Tustain was causing
problems down the left wing, and after missing 2 great chances his persistence
paid off as he fired Westfield into a 3-1 lead. Tustain then had a glorious chance
to add to his tally, when clean through. The Mowbray keeper however made a great
save, but the ball fell kindly to Stuart Heathcote who tapped in his 3rd open
goal of the season. Westfield continued in the second half where they left off
with Player of the Match Tom Wallace bursting through after 2 minutes to add his
sides 5th goal. Wallace and Heathcote both hit the post, and other chances went
astray. A great performance from Westfield, who are threatening to hit double
figures if they could take more of the chances they created. 5th placed Wigston
United scraped through against mid-placed Syston Town 2 - 1 with Gaz Casey and
Pemberton finding the net. Queniborough were the other winners when they came

Lutterworth keeper. Fleckney had spells where they stretched Lutterworth at the
back and came close to scoring on two or three occasions. Lutterworth regained
the lead before the end of the first half with a well taken header by Brad Hughes
from a corner. In the second half Lutterworth stepped up the pace and created
a number of good chances, which found Fleckney's keeper in fine form with a series

almost immediately and had Sileby on their back foot. After a stiff second half
team talk, Sileby responded well and competed with more determination. This hard
work paid off when Lewis Maxfield scored a second goal after Conor Simpson had
flicked on a header to put Maxfield through who finished with a low strike pass
the Beaumont keeper. Again Beaumont responded and nearly pulled one back but were
denied when the Sileby keeper Tom Needham pulled off a great save. Sileby themselves
struck back when a quick throw in by Chris Dudley found Connor Simpson in the
penalty area who rose to backhead the ball to the advancing Maxfield to score
his second of the game and put Sileby 3-0 up .Sileby scored their fourth and final
