UNDER 18'S PREMIER DIVISION
SYSTON TOWN 2 - 5 A C WIGSTON AC Wigston started life in the Under
18 Premier Division in great style with a resounding win at old rivals Syston
Town. An early strike from star striker Lewis Madelin gave Wigston a perfect start
and when Dean Wade applied the finish to Madelin's cross ten minutes later it
looked as though the points were already in the bag. The game took an unlikely
turn when a mix up in the Wigston box resulted in a Syston penalty, which was
converted expertly. The second half started well for Syston and they forced home
a close range equaliser to give themselves real hope that they could go on to
win the game. It was not to be though and Wigston re-grouped to take a firm grip
on the remainder of the game. Madelin struck twice more to complete his hat-trick,
the first a fantastic effort over the Syston keeper and to complete the scoreline
substitute Nathan Clough volleyed home a twenty yarder for his first goal in more
than a year. Syston's goals came from Oliver Grudgings and Luke Clarke. Mowbray
in the only other game of the day saw them win 7-2 away at Queniborough. DIVISION

the edge of the box. Maloy claimed his second just before half time, with a good
move involving Jake Wildbore and Jordan Bilson. In the second half two more goals
from Creasey completed his hat-trick, with a header and a long range free kick
which deceived the Kirby Keeper. The result was finished off with a headed goal
from Anthony Zupp, after a mammoth goal mouth scramble which saw Wildbore hit
the cross bar from close range. Mark Lill in the Lutterworth goal was rarely troubled

UNDER
16'S PREMIER DIVISION MOWBRAY RANGERS 3 0 AYLESTONE PARK Mowbray
Rangers played host to Aylestone Park in an entertaining open day fixture. Rangers
came out of the blocks quickest and opened the scoring with their very first attack,
as Jack Harris looped his header over the advancing Johnson. The remainder
of the first half was fairly even with Aylestone having plenty of the ball in
the centre of the pitch but not really troubling the back four of Lowe, Spawton,
Maddock and Baker. The home side continued to cause problems on the break and
was unlucky not to add to their lead, whilst Aylestone's first decent chance,
a well struck shot from Alex Keyworth was dealt with comfortably by Sam Collington.
The first part of the second half saw Aylestone dominate and Tom Orton must
have though he had got his team back into it only to see his effort cleared off
the line by Maddock. Mowbray pushed on and when Ruddle picked the ball up
25 yards out he had only one thing in his mind as he buried the ball in the back
of the net. Liam Prenderville and Mark Cowling had caused all sorts problems
for the visitor's defensive line up and got their just rewards with a well worked
Goal. From a free kick full back Lowe floated the ball into the area and Cowling
flicked the ball on for Prenderville to volley home and seal the win. SAFFRON
DYN 1 - 1 SYSTON TOWN First game of the season saw a tight game between two
sides that finished last season on a high. Syston slightly shaded the first half
and went up a goal to the good at half time through a penalty converted by Dominic
Duffy just before the break. The second half saw Syston start on top but Saffron
dominated the last twenty minutes and deservedly leveled when Ollie Barton finished
off a fine move. Josh Kind had a chance to take the points for Saffron Dynamo
but Denolm Hines made a fine save to keep things level. ST ANDREW'S 2 - 0
LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO With both teams looking to settle as quickly as possible
the first 15 minutes was a scrappy affair with both defenses coming out on top.
St Andrews settled first, setting up some great passes of set play between Hogan
Smith, Nick Hatch and Craig Brooks. Within the first half an hour of the game
St Andrews goal keeper Shailoh Tattersall cleared a goal kick, which caught Loughborough
Dynamo goal keeper out, bouncing over his head for the first goal. Hogan Smith
then latched onto a pass around the goal keeper making it 2-0 In the second
half Loughborough Dynamos pushed forward, pressuring the St Andrews defence. With
corner after corner Shailoh Tattersall and the back line showed outstanding commitment
for St Andrews. Loughborough Dynamo continued to break and came close on more
than one occasion to score. A quality game of football from two outstanding
teams.
DIVISION 1 WIGSTON YOUTH 0 - 1 SILEBY TOWN JUNIORS Sileby
Town Juniors came away from Wigston Youth with a hard fought away win. Both teams
started brightly, with Sileby playing against the wind. Sileby took the lead midway
through the first half with a well crafted goal. Sileby's Conor Simpson brought
the ball under control on the halfway line, turned the Wigston defender and played
a decisive pass to teammate Steven Smith who in turn drew his marker to play a
fine through ball to town's Lewis Maxfield who ran through the Wigston defense,
to coolly slot the ball by the advancing keeper. In the second half both teams
upped their tempo, Wigston chasing an equaliser and Sileby trying to add to their
tally. With ten minutes remaining Conor Simpson anticipated a miss kick by the
Wigston centre half, to run through and round the keeper to score, only for the
goal decision to be reversed. Sileby, then more determined put Wigston under pressure
in the closing stages and managed to secure their win. Both teams contributed
to a competitive game with Sileby putting in a good team effort. LEICESTER
NIRVANA 4 - 2 BEAUMONT TOWN Leicester Nirvana started the campaign with a 4-2
win at home to Beaumont Town. Nirvana started very brightly and though they were
under some pressure from the visitors managed to gain a 3-0 lead at half time,
thanks to some good finishing from Ahmed Omar (10mins) Faraj Jamal (23) Parmveer
Mundair (35). Nirvana went into the break looking comfortable. However Beaumont
Town came out for the second half with a real purpose and was rewarded for their
determination with an early goal through Jake Marriott (47). The early goal seemed
to put some belief back into the visitors who maintain a lot of possession throughout
the second half. A goal from George Horton (68) made the scorline 3-2 and an excellent
fight back was on the cards. However while Beaumont Town were searching for an
equaliser, Yaseen Murwrajani (79) scored a spectacular goal from approximately
30yards out, which sealed the win for Leicester Nirvana. ROUND UP Royce
