UNDER 18'S STUART BALDWIN PRESIDENTS TROPHY Kingsway
Rangers are the first finalist in the new renamed competition after a comfortable
win over Mowbray Rangers, Ben Bayliss started the ball rolling with the first
soon followed by Ben Jarvis with a brace and the win was wrapped up with a fine
Callum Wright effort. PREMIER DIVISION Quorn Juniors have a five
point advantage going into the final month of the competition after an impressive
display of finishing against Queniborough Juniors had struggled to field a full
side as they had used their free week to rest some injured players from their
previous match and in total two were not really match fit but came to the match,
and another four were unfit for playing. On arrival Queniborough could only start
with 10 men, two of which were injured players, but they agreed to continue with
the match. Quorn went one, then two, three and four up in quick succession, one
of which was a penalty. By half time Quorn were six up. Queniborough manager had
changed the goalkeeper and a few others round, at the interval, which did have
some impact. All the Queniborough team tried to keep pace with Quorn, but being
almost three players down and Quorn being higher in the league, Queniborough were,
at times, out classed. But it wasn't for the want of trying. Damon ward and Steve
Mitchell both had excellent matches, continually running and chasing the ball
until the final whistle and were rewarded with man of the matches by the manager.
Quorn played well, passing the ball competently between them and had several hits
on target that were well saved by Tom Meridith. The Quorn goal scorers were hat-tricks
from Will Richards and Dan Wright, two each from Drew Williamson and Andy Sanderson
and the final goal was scored by player/manager James Price. Fourth placed
Wigston United lost for the first time in ages when they went down to Kegworth
Imps with a 2 - 1 verdict the home scorers were Ian Stone and Luke Wolley. Westfield
travelled to Allexton with 5 players unavailable, and were only able to muster
11 players for the game. After the recent poor weather, the pitch had dried out
nicely, and conditions were ideal for a competitive match. Westfield had an early
chance in the first minute when top scorer Stuart Heathcote found himself unmarked
in the box, but his header was well saved by the keeper. Both teams took a while
to get into their stride after the 2 week Easter break, Allexton hit back and
keeper Nicky Dean did well to save a shot with his legs. It was Westfield however,
who opened the scoring after 20 minutes, when a corner by Ryan Brightwell found
Heathcoat unmarked, and his header went over the keeper to make it 1-0 to Westfield.
Allexton then broke clear and a goal bound effort was well saved by Dean at the
far post. Ben Sykes caused confusion in the Allexton defence with a couple of
mazy runs, then Tom Wallace put Westfield 2-0 up with a speedy run and shot, which
took a deflection before nestling in the corner. Half Time score 2-0. Allexton
came out after the break all guns blazing, and were unlucky to see a goal ruled
out for offside in the first minute, however their next attack notched their first
goal of the game, with the No.10 finding himself one on one with the keeper, who
made a good save, but was unable to stop the rebound being fired into the net.
Westfield Player of the match Alex Tustain hit back with a great goal, working
his way down the left wing, he beat 3 players before firing home at the near post.
Brightwell then bravely won a ball on the left by the half way line, and raced
down the by-line before cutting in and firing home. Allexton hit back again with
the No. 10 breaking clear on the halfway line and making no mistake as he fired
home after an impressive burst of pace. Westfield's next came after some neat
interplay between Rhaj Rachid and Dominic Hancox, leading to Heathcoat being put
through, he made no mistake to score his side's 5th goal. The back 3 of James
Hancox, Anthony Stott and Tom Preston were working hard to keep Allexton at bay,
and it was Hancox who provided the killer ball for Tustain to run clear down the
wing and cross for Brightwell to fire home his second goal of the game With Bright0well
and Heathcoat both looking for their hat-trick goal, time finally ran out.

Maloy completed his hat-trick just before the interval. Bosworth came into the

getting his name on the score sheet. Lutterworth added a fifth through leading

again scoring his forth of the game, and complete the six goal victory. Barrow

soon after that, after the keeper let a shot squeeze under him, and TJ McRoberts
got the fourth. Moxom got his second and the fifth with another tap in and Jon
O'Leary got the sixth with an effort from just inside the area and Moxom finished
things off when he rounded the keeper to get the seventh and his third of the
